Sara Kazan, CDT: President
Sara founded Nellmar Dental Laboratory in 2002 after 20 years as a dental technician, more than 11 of them as a business partner and Certified Dental Technician (CDT) at Studio Dental Ceramics. Sara saw an opportunity to pair her technical and business strengths, building a team of professional dental technicians and artisans who have diverse and deep skills in all aspects of creating high-quality, aesthetically pleasing restorations and implants. Sara and her team have grown and evolved the business to meet the needs of a growing and evolving dentist community, while remaining true to their business ideals, their ongoing pursuit of excellence, and their local community. Sara is the proud mother of three boys. She’s an equestrian and enjoys cooking during her off hours.
Wendy Romans: Executive Assistant
Wendy completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1996. She joined Nellmar in 2004 and has managed the business side of the lab ever since. Away from the lab, Wendy enjoys family time with her husband and son, baking, watching movies, and cheering for college football and basketball especially the University of Michigan.
Jennifer Soule: Dental Technician
In March 2017, Jennifer joined Nellmar as a ceramist bringing with her 20 years of experience. She has worked in many different phases of the crown making process from receiving cases to model fabrication to building porcelain. In her free time Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Elliot Kazan: Dental Technician
Elliot (Sara’s son) joined Nellmar in 2019 with a desire to begin a career as a dental technician. He manages the pressable and bite splint departments. He also works in the CAD CAM department. Away from the lab, Elliot enjoys working out and cooking.
Zoey Stevens: Administrative Assistant/Dental Technician
In May of 2023, Zoey joined Nellmar as an Administrative Assistant. She now works a hybrid role with administrative tasks, and model fabrication. In her free time, Zoey enjoys reading, making candles, and being a very attentive cat mom of 4.
Pablo Aquirre: Dental Technician
Pablo is the newest member, joining the group in 2023. with a desire to begin a career as a dental technician. He has knowledge of 3D CAD design and is part of the CAD/CAM department, as well. He is in charge of scanning the models and milling the porcelain. As a Colombian, he loves to prepare and drink a good coffee and most people love his accent.
